American Cancer Society's walk

The New Jersey Emergency Communications Team will be helping with communications for the American Cancer Society's "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ" on Sunday October 21st beginning about 0900 hours. Volunteers may need to come earlier. We are asking for additional Ham radio operators who would like to help by monitoring a street corner in Pt Pleasant Beach for about four hours or even less depending on you post location.

All you need is a portable (or Mobile) ham radio with VHF and UHF capabilities. This is a stand or sit and watch event only. If you can speak clearly and not get excited during an emergency, please come and help. You will gain experience in event management, logistics, and communications. This is your chance to "give back" to the community and what I believe to be the heart and soul of amateur radio.

If you can help contact us at info@nject.us as soon as possible. More information will be emailed to you.
Thank  you.
