JSARS Business Meeting - November 8, 2007

  • Minutes of October Meeting were read and accepted. Motion by Frank, K2IYE and seconded by Brian, WA2FAX. All voted to accept
  • Treasurer’s Report Noted and accepted. Motion by Frank, K2IYE and seconded by Bob, N2BKB. All voted to accept
  • Old Business
    • Cafe Press' prices have been reviewed and were deemed to be too expensive. Valerie, KC2KGE is looking at the club's old source for jackets and shirts
  • New Business
    • The Christmas will be prepared by members of the club. The cost of having the affair catered by a commercial service was thought to be too expensive. A Motion to allocate $150 of the club's funds was made by Carl, WA2IQE and seconded by Frank, K2IYE. Members are asked to bring dessert and soda. There will be a regular business meeting followed by the Christmas Party
    • A spring Hamfest will be looked into. The consensus seemed to that a date at Spring break (around Easter time) would be best
    • Don, K2HCW can't locate any information for an RF Activated timer. Other kits will be looked into for a winter club project
    • Technician, General and Amateur Extra and CW instruction classes were suggested by Lloyd, N2KPC. He will gladly teach the classes
    • On-Site Trailer -The club will get a firm date to remove existing utilities, move and re-install necessary utilities for the 8' x 16' trailer that is available for our use
    • Sweepstakes will be November 17th
    • Winter Field Day activities will be determined.
