Meeting Minutes - June 8th, 2017
The minutes of the June 8, 2017 Business Meeting are as follows:
* Meeting came to order at 7:13PM,
* Pledge, moment of silence, then attendee roll call.
* Minutes of previous meeting approved by Tom KD9BVC and Jerry KD2JGH.
* Treasurer's report shows an account balance of $xxxx.xx, no change from last month. Report
   approved by Frank K2IYE and Tom KD9BVC.
* Blue Claws outing for August 3rd had an overwhelming first sign-up, members taking advantage of the early discount.price.
* Our annual JSARS club officers election took place. The following members were elected for the following positions:
     President: Tom KD9BVC
     Vice President: Jim WA2RJP
     Secretary: Brian WA2FAX
     Treasurer: Don K2HCW
     Trustee: Steve KC2YQZ
* Ricky KC2VXI presented the May JSARS ARRL Traffic Net summary:
     Check-ins                 616
     Messages in/out       32/32
     Total Net minutes      467
     Sessions                    31
     Participants               647
* Steve KC2YQZ reports that the legal review of our club By-Laws should be finished by our next Business Meeting.
* Steve KC2YQZ also reminds all members not to discuss club business over the air waves, especially on the several JSARS repeaters. Open discussions are welcome at our Business Meetings.
* ARRL Field Day is the weekend of June 24th at River Wood Park. We look forward to seeing a large membership participation.  Our ARRL classification is 4A so we will have multiple stations operating. We will start preparations on Friday evening, continue into  Saturday morning, operating begins at 2:00PM Saturday. We will shut down by Sunday noon.
* As Steve KC2YQZ will not be able to attend Field Day, He announced that he will be serving dinner at our July Business Meeting. What a guy!
* We welcomed new JSARS member Art of Lakewood. He is new to the hobby and will be taking his Tech class test at our July VE session.
* Total meeting attendees 29.
* Meeting adjourned at 7:38PM, approved by Dennis W2DDS and Bill KD2JBJ.
