Packet BBS Information

The NJ2AR-4 Packet BBS is running the F6FBB Packet BBS on top of a Flex-Net node. The user frequency for accessing the node is 145.030 MHz. Connect to NJ2AR and then "connect nj2ar-4" for the BBS. The message base normally stores more than 1000 messages ranging from "SALE" items to general information about amateur radio. So if you are in search of anything concerning our hobby, warm up your TNC and connect to your local packet bulletin board system for latest scoop!

The node stack is located on top Hanger 1 at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station in Lakehurst, NJ. This system is the main backbone to all of the forwarding in Ocean County because it reaches to the northern and western parts of the state.

The following is a list of operating frequencies and callsigns.

The FlexNet Node is a packet switch and has 5 interfaces (ports):
1. The internal BBS interface. NJ2AR-4 connected through the Digipeater on 145.030
2. 145.030 is the local interface for users. NJ2AR-3
3. 223.480 is the backbone interface for exchanging bulletins and mail with W2ZQ and K2UL - NJ2AR-7
4. Currently Unused.
