Meeting Minutes - August 10th, 2017
The minutes of the JSARS Business Meeting of August 10, 2017 are as follows:
* Meeting came to order at 7:00PM.
* Pledge, moment of silence, than attendee roll call.
* Minutes of the previous meeting approved by Steve AC2ST and Jerry KD2JGH.
* Treasurer's report shows an account balance of $xxxxx.xx. Report approved by Bill KD2JBJ and
Ricky KC2VXI.
* Our Blue Claws Fun Night outing was a great success. We had 32 attendees made up of JSARS members,
family and friends. The bottom of the 9th inning was the highlight of the game, the Blue Claws came back with
3 runs to win the game over Hagerstown. We all voted to do it again next summer.
* Charlie N1CRR presented the July JSARS ARRL Traffic Net summary:

* Our Field Day results of 46 QSOs was submitted to the ARRL. We had 20 club member participants over the weekend. The
summary of all Field Day station results will be published in the December 2017 QST magazine.
* We welcome new JSARS member Tom KD2LGD of Pt Pleasant. Tom is currently a Tech class and is planning to take his
General exam at our next VE session.
* Glenn KD2FFR announced that the Toms River High School is the sponsor of "Makers Fest" on Saturday, October 14th at the
Pine Belt Arena. This is a technology gathering of individuals and organizations who want to show their "goods" to the community.

* As a reminder, the Fall JSARS Hamfest will be Sunday morning, August 27th at Riverwood Park. Go to our web site for all details.
* Total meeting attendees 24.
