Meeting Minutes - March 8, 2018
The minutes of the JSARS Business Meeting of March 8, 2018 are as follows:
* Meeting came to order at 7:00PM.
* Pledge, moment of silence, then attendee roll call.
* Brian WA2FAX read the minutes of the last business meeting, approved by Bill KD2JBJ and Chris K2HVE.
* There was no Treasurer's Report this meeting.
* Pete K3PMC made a detailed presentation on the correct procedures of sending and receiving traffic on the ARRL Traffic Net System. A detailed handout was distributed to all attendees.
* Jim WA2RJP announced that our Blue Claws outing will be on Thursday, August 2nd. We have reserved seating on the 3rd base line. Tickets include a 2 hour All You Can Eat buffet from 6 to 8PM. Tickets are $27.00 for adults, $19.00 for kids 5 to 12, and parking is $5.00 per car. As in the past, JSARS will give a $10.00 discount to each attendee who pays in full by our June business meeting.

* Reminder to all, our Spring Hamfest is Sunday, April 22nd at Riverwood Park. Details are on our web site.
* Cathy, XYL of Dennis W2DDS announced the annual MS Walk next month on the Seaside boardwalk. JSARS, on behalf of all its members will make a $100.00 donation to the National MS Society.
* Reminder that the ARRL Field Day (FD) event is the weekend of June 23/24 at Riverwood Park. Tom KD9BVC says JSARS will include a Family Picnic on Saturday. Furthermore, Jeff N2JFL, who has knowledge on all the FD functions, has volunteered to be the FD coordinator for the various FD operating stations and the contact logs. FD stations will operate as NJ2AR and the GOTA station will operate as W2DOR.
* JSARS welcomes back a new member Joe WB2ZRU, extra class, of Lakewood.
* Total meeting attendees 28.
* Meeting adjourned at 7:33PM, approved by Carlie N1CRR and Bill KD2MZM.
