February 2007 Meeting Minutes

 
The minutes from the February 8, 2007 JSARS Business Meeting:
  • Meeting opened at 7:45PM by Vice President Jim, KC2OUT, in absence of President, Don, K2HCW
  • Pledge of Allegiance
  • Moment of Silence for our troops
  • Minutes of January Meeting accepted as posted on web site
  • Treasurer’s Report Noted and accepted
  • Old Business
    • Plans discussed for Hamfest in March with possible date of March 17, 2007 at Riverwood Club House. More information if date and insurance coverage is accepted by Parks Department
    • Dues 2007 - continued collection so Roster can be completed and printed on web site by end of Febuary
    • Extra VE Sessions - due to elimination of code requirement and expected increase in test applications. Extra VE session on March 1st is planned.
    • JSARS members were thanked for participation in presentation to Tiger Scouts. Plaque to be presented at next meeting.
    • Congratulations to Robert and Nicole White for birth of son Ryan
  • New Business
    • Name tages will be researched this month
    • Possible use of "Cafe Press" for purchases relating to JSARS - Shirts, Jackets, etc...
    • Guest Speakers at meetings - radios, antenna building, etc... Bob, N2LXL volunteered to present a talk at next meeting on antennas.
